Our Company

At Music To Grow On, we specialize in providing Music Therapy services to children and adults with disabilities, assisting them in accessing their education in a manner that is specialized to the individual.

By using music, we bring a vehicle for learning that is highly motivating, reinforcing, and enjoyable for the individuals involved. We are continually expanding, adding new clientele and groups, and increasing the diversity in the populations we serve.

As a mobile company, we have the ability to move around the greater Sacramento area to provide services in the location of the client.

Our History

Music To Grow On was established in 2000 to provide Music Therapy for children with special needs throughout Sacramento County.

Since then, our company has expanded to five different counties, adding Yolo, Placer, El Dorado and Solano, which include the cities of Sacramento, Woodland, Davis, Elk Grove, Vacaville, Folsom, Roseville, and their surrounding areas. We also contract with 25 school districts in the greater Sacramento area.

We also partner with local groups and events, including Art on the Spectrum, Gigi’s Playhouse, Southside Park/Jonnie and Friends. If you are interested in partnering with MTGO, please get in touch.

Our Qualification

Music To Grow On currently employs ten Board-Certified Music Therapists. Each staff member brings a unique style and philosophy in the way they practice Music Therapy, giving us diversity and balance in our practice. Meet our team here.

With ongoing collaboration between the staff members and the members of the interdisciplinary teams with which we work, we can constantly grow and develop our knowledge and skills.

Since our team has the ability to provide Music Therapy utilizing different models, we can accommodate the needs of our clients, groups, families, and care providers with the therapist that most suits the circumstance.
