Board Certified Music Therapist
Full-Time | MT-BC

Music To Grow On, Music Therapy Services, Inc. is a well-established practice serving individuals of all ages and abilities across Sacramento and surrounding communities. We provide individualized music therapy in schools, homes, community programs, mental health settings, and residential and long-term care environments. We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and clinically skilled Board Certified Music Therapist to join our collaborative team immediately.
What You’ll Do
- Provide individualized, evidence-based music therapy services for clients with a wide range of strengths, goals, and support needs.
- Develop treatment plans and therapeutic music experiences; collect objective data and adapt interventions based on client progress.
- Complete assessments, progress reports, annual goal reviews, and daily session documentation accurately and on time.
- Manage an assigned full-time caseload (approximately 17 direct-service hours weekly), including independent scheduling and efficient travel routes.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams; attend IEP and treatment-planning meetings as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with organizational, payer, privacy, and professional standards while caring responsibly for therapeutic resources and equipment.
What You Bring
- Active Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC); bachelor’s degree or higher in music therapy.
- Strong clinical musicianship, therapeutic rapport-building skills, sound clinical judgment, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent documentation, communication, organization, and time-management skills; confidence working independently and collaboratively.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and ability to travel among multiple service locations.
- Comfort with Google Workspace and electronic documentation; ability to carry therapy equipment and move between community-based settings.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, professional development, and a positive, supportive team culture.
