Music Therapy Summer Camp

Music To Grow On is excited to partner with Access Leisure to offer two separate weeks of Music Therapy Summer Camps this year. Each camp will run Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at East Portal Park (1120 Rodeo Way, Sacramento, CA 95819).

Camp activities will include instrument-making, instrument exploration, and music and movement experiences, all led by Board-Certified Music Therapists. The program is specifically designed for elementary-aged children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Participants are welcome to attend with a support person if needed.

Each camp week has a capacity of up to 36 participants; however, campers will be divided into smaller groups to ensure a personalized and supportive experience.

A flyer is attached with registration details and a direct link to sign up. Please note that payment is required at the time of registration. If you receive services through ALTA Regional Center, you may be eligible for reimbursement—please coordinate directly with your Service Coordinator regarding this option.

Please consider sharing with your friends and others that may be interested in participating.

Additionally, Access Leisure offers a limited number of scholarships for residents of the City of Sacramento. A scholarship application form is attached. Even if you have not participated in Access Leisure activities in the past, you can still apply for the scholarship.  If you are applying for a scholarship, please indicate that it is for the Music To Grow On Summer Camps and submit the form prior to registering.

If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to reach out. We hope you’ll consider joining us for a fun and enriching summer experience!
